Using the new Trackman indoor golf simulator, the competition will be a 9 Hole Pair's Event, played over 3 fantastic courses.

1ST COURSE: BACK 9 AT BETHPAGE BLACK
2ND COURSE: FRONT9 AT PEBBLE BEACH
3RD COURSE: BACK 9 AT ST ANDREWS

Teams will play betterball stableford format with the best score to count on each hole, with players using 1/2 of their golfing handicap.

The entry fee is £70 per team.

Presentation Night 2019

The annual presentation night will be held on Friday 15th November. This is your chance to come and congratulate all the winners of the club Trophies, cups and majors for 2019.

This event is open to all members and as we did last year we will be offering a FREE buffet after the presentation you and your guests.

Course update

As some of you may have seen Jon and his team have dug a new ditch down the right hand side of the 6th Hole, this area was known as the swale which was always rather wet after an amount of rain.

Quite a few members have asked why we have done this and the main (and only reason) is to help drain water off the course, this ditch will take water away from the 6th, 16th and the top of the 17th holes. If you are still not sure, please look at the video, now this is within 1 hour of Jon completing the digging process for the ditch and you can see how much water is running in the ditch.

The round white thing...

Since the game began in the 15th century, there is one thing that has never changed – the ball being the only piece of equipment used on every shot. Despite this, it still gets a raw deal with some golfers viewing it as less important than the clubs used to hit it. So, we decided to take a look back and see how modern golf balls compare to those of yesteryear.

In the beginning

Feathery balls reigned supreme for over 200 years in the early days of golf, but even they are relatively new compared to the original hairy balls (guess what they were stuffed with!).
