How Do You Do It?
Believe it or not it is summer time (you would not guess it with the recent weather), this is the time of year when the greens will be at their best and we want to maintain the true putting surfaces throughout the season. This can be achieved by A: not only repairing pitch marks but B: repairing the pitch mark in the correct way.
In a recent survey by the PGA, over 40% of golfers were repairing a pitch mark in an incorrect way. With this in mind, look at the images below and see if your way is the correct way.
The all-too-familiar fruits of a badly repaired pitch mark. Pushing the grass back towards the front is the correct way to repair a pitch mark.
